Lugares de interes cercanos

chinchero

A few kilometers from our Piuray Glamping, there is a very special Inca town where the past persists stubbornly, as if the spirit of an ancient culture clung to this place, refusing to disappear.

Its platforms, warehouse and irrigation system initially attract attention. The story goes that with the arrival of the Spanish, Chinchero was set on fire in 1536 by Manco Inca, in his flight to Vilcabamba, with the aim of leaving nothing to the Spanish. On the Palace of Tupac Yupanqui the Spaniards raised the Church of Our Lady of Monserra, in order to represent their submission in a symbolic way.

On Sundays there is a very colorful fair that you have to visit.

MORAY

A few kilometers from our Misminay Glamping, there are four huge circular formations that have the appearance of fingerprints. The formations have a cosmic origin, they were created by the impact of a meteorite hundreds of years ago and later the Incas took advantage of them to make an agricultural laboratory with them.

Due to its different levels and the air currents that form, the temperature between the lowest and highest floors can vary up to 15 ° C, allowing them to test various Empire crops.

In August, the month of Pachamama, the town of Maras makes a gigantic staging of a payment to the land just as the Incas did more than five centuries ago.

MARAS SALT MINES

A few kilometers from our Misminay Glamping there is a magical and surreal place due to the energy that it emanates, its capricious formation and its radiant white color, it is a unique place from whose entrails a treasure is born.

We recommend the consumption of Maras Pink Salt for its benefits in caring for our health, as it has healing, anti-inflammatory properties and is conducive to regulating blood pressure thanks to its low concentration of sodium chloride. Also, only in this place you can find 100% natural salt for sale, without added iodine.

OLLANTAYTAMBO

On the way to our Huilloc Glamping, exactly 13 km before the destination is Ollantaytambo, a town that is known as the last Inca city, at present the inhabitants continue to use its stone streets, houses and porches.

Surrounded by architectural beauties within which is the military fortress with its giant platforms that were used for agriculture, water sources, palaces and temples and some megalithic structures that nobody can explain how they ended up in the most part. discharge from the complex.

On the other side of the town you can see the Pinkulluna, large barns located in a capricious place due to the slope of the hill.

PISAC

Pisac is a small town located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 45 minutes from Cusco. The road from Cusco is a scenic route with a steep descent into the Sacred Valley. Pisac is known as the gateway to the Sacred Valley and as a living museum. The sacred mountain known as Apu Linly and the ancient terraces enhance the spectacular natural setting, with the beautiful Wilkamayu River running through the fertile heart of the valley.

The Pisac archaeological complex is located 3.5 kilometers from the town of Pisac, at 3,347 meters above sea level, offering incredible views of the entire valley. The impressive agricultural terraces are the legacy of an ancient culture that knew how to coexist with its environment without destroying it. An entire side of the mountain was transformed into colossal agricultural terraces using the latest irrigation technology, one of the most advanced of its time, which serves as inspiration for the development of technology in balance with the environment. It is one of the best-preserved and most impressive archaeological sites, with multiple sectors and functions.
